Close your eyes completely or partially and focus your mind on your breathing. Breathe naturally through your nose. Free your mind from all distractions and just breathe. If you start thinking about your day or your worries, turn your attention back to your breathing.
Use a watch to measure the time of your meditation. You shouldn’t think about the time while meditating, so set an alarm to let you know when it’s time to get ready to go out. After a while, you will notice that this becomes less necessary.
It is better if you can make it a regular practice and as soon as you’re going to make it a daily routine you’ll find yourself being into the state of calmness & peace.
